Reviews and Ratings
The hotel's location is convenient for access to the hospital, although ongoing renovations create a noisy atmosphere. The service was friendly and efficient, but check-in time is limited. Dining options were mixed, with delicious food but limited choices. The rooms were comfortable with some issues, like poor ventilation and cleanliness inconsistencies.
The hotel feels more like student dorms at night with noise until late hours; it was cold and needed more heating. The service was a mix of one negative experience where £60 was charged for not returning the key card and positive encounters with polite and happy staff who provided excellent customer service. The location is ideal for trips to Devon and Cornwall, even though it's by a busy dual carriageway. The dining experience offers plentiful and fresh food from early in the morning, but ordering in the evening was simplified with a mobile app. The facilities present budget options, with good parking but by a busy road.
The hotel looked a bit tired and in need of some repairs, but the service from the staff was welcoming and kind. The location was ideal for my needs, and the dining options were basic but satisfactory. Overall, an average stay with a few redeeming qualities.
